Wow, I can't believe it's been over six months since I've updated my livejournal!! I wanted to start posting about regular real life stuff, but just never got around to it. :P I might post some icons from time to time, but probably not a whole lot since I'm working now. This might be a pretty long post, so I better put the rest under a cut. :P

I finally got a job back in October working at a local grocery store. Everyone tells me I'm crazy because I work night shift, lol. I don't mind it, though. I work with around 8-9 other people stocking the shelves. I usually do the baking and coffee aisles, but sometimes I do others if someone doesn't show up, or is off that night, etc... When I first started I was overwhelmed because I had no idea where anything went when I had to help break the stuff down and put it in the right aisle. Now I just think back and laugh because now I know the store like the back of my hand. Luckily I might have an opportunity to go full time soon since my supervisor put a request in with HR for me. I was told that they rarely ever deny a request so I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed. Right now I work 10PM to 5:30AM. If I go full time, I would work 10PM to 6:30AM. I have off on Sunday and Thursday nights right now. Wednesday nights are a little different because I help put up price tags instead of doing stock (there's no truck on Wednesdays or Sundays). It gets a little boring after a while, but it's an easy job. And of course one of the best things about working...I actually have money to spend now!! (and to save up, of course).

So I traded in all my PS2 stuff on Sunday and bought myself a Wii. So far I really like it, but I'm gonna have to wait a bit until I can get some games for it. Tomorrow I'm heading over to Gamestop to get a classic controller and some points cards. I'm planning on using the points to get some virtual console games on the Wii Shop Channel like Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong Country. I love classic games like that so I can't wait to be able to play them again!!!!

I was looking forward to watching Lie to Me tonight only to remember that it's not on again thanks to American Idol. I really wish they'd show LTM every week instead of constantly doing this every-other-week thing. I need my weekly dose of Tim Roth dammit!!!! You know what else sucks? Life On Mars only has 2 more episodes left and then it's over. :( Oh, well. At least I still have House and Hell's Kitchen to watch.
